Umsor Altigani
🧩 Meet Umser Yousif
Bachelor's in Psychology | School Inclusion Teacher Level 5 Practitioner | Psychosocial & Inclusion Specialist at CIPPO
With over seven years of hands-on experience in inclusive classrooms, Umser brings thoughtful guidance, emotional insight, and a strong foundation in child psychology to her work with children, families, and learning teams.
Umser holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Ahfad University for Women in Sudan, where she was awarded the prestigious Abu Zaid Khalifa Prize for her research on education for children with special needs.
During the 2024–2025 academic year, Umsor worked as an Integration Teacher in Grade 2 at the American International School (AIS), supporting a neurodivergent student with attention regulation challenges, social communication delays, and difficulties with task initiation. Her focus was on fostering peer interaction, classroom independence, sustained engagement, and emotional self-regulation.
She implemented neurodiversity-affirming strategies such as visual schedules, sensory breaks, social stories, and prompting techniques, while closely collaborating with the homeroom teacher to adapt tasks and gradually reduce support.
This experience strengthened Umser’s skills in behavior management, differentiated instruction, classroom adaptation, and collaborative planning, as she supported the student’s growth in confidence, participation, and self-regulation within an inclusive setting.
